Professor Devon Bradley is leading a birdwalk on Cuesta College campus the first Thursday of every month, starting at 8 a.m. Bradley is a biology teacher at Cuesta with an interest in birds that she wants to share with the community. Each month, a group will meet at the greenhouse (Building 2234A) and take a walk around a new area of the campus to explore the different bird species. Binoculars and local bird guide pamphlets are provided, and bringing your own device for taking notes or snapping photos is encouraged.
On Feb. 5, Bradley was joined by a diverse group of students and professors, with different stories and facts to share. “You learn a lot just from other birders,” said Professor Erin Naegle, another biology teacher who was present on the walk.
The walks will typically last for about an hour, but you are not required to stay the entire time.
