Kate Johnson, Reporter
Kate is a second-year English student at Cuesta, and has decided this semester to bring her passion for literature, writing and political history to The Cuestonian as a reporter. She values the deep-rooted sense of community and commitment to truth in the journalism space – believing that reporting is “one of the most important ways to cultivate compassion, collaboration, free speech, and tolerance for differing viewpoints.”
Kate has also worked and taught at a daycare for almost four years, and believes this experience allows her to look at the world through a unique lens. “The little bits and pieces that are seemingly insignificant in life; they in truth are a story waiting to be told. Something can always be made from what appears to be nothing at first glance… and that something will always impact a person more than you know.”
