Hundreds of Cuesta College students gathered for Studython on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 at Cuesta’s Student Success Center in San Luis Obispo, where they received free tutoring, food and help from faculty. The number of students who participated in Studython at the SLO Campus broke a record from the last study event that took place during midterms.
Student Success Center Supervisor Mason Cleek said that the first night of Studython at the SLO campus saw 317 students, and 330 students on the second night.
“The biggest goal for us as a department when hosting our study events, regardless of if it’s Studython or Study Jam, is to be able to provide a safe place for students,” said Cleek.
A student is given a green bracelet to signify that they have signed in to the event. All students who sign in with their Cuesta College ID at the SSC’s entrance allow them to receive free tutoring the SSC staff and help from faculty, as well as the food being provided.
