Cuesta College’s Studio Art students are hosting their biannual Print Sale on Monday, May 11.
“It covers a lot of ground,” said printmaking instructor Inga Dorosz. “It’s all individual work that they’ve created throughout the semester.”
Students will be selling a variety of printed items, including patches, postcards and posters. A selection of prints will also be available on handmade paper the class made from invasive plant species in the area. Prints will vary in price depending on size and materials, but many items will be as low as $5.
“I think it’s a really exciting opportunity for students to gain some monetary value from their art, realize that their art is worth something. People want their stuff and that they’re not doing it just for fun,” studio art major Casey Velte said. “It’s really valuable for students to see that they can do something with their art.”
The Print Sale will happen on May 11 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in room 7106 of the Fine Arts Building on Cuesta’s SLO campus.
