Artificial intelligence is an easily accessible tool that students can use to help them in their education. It can generate flashcards and practice problems, organize study sessions and so much more. However, do students really take advantage of all these tools? Do students really think AI is helpful? 

Data from 2025 has found that nearly half of college students have contemplated changing their major because of how AI is impacting their field of study. Is this also the case for Cuesta students? If AI is supposed to be a useful tool, then why are people changing their majors over it?

AI is a controversial subject because of the risks and opportunities it presents. With this survey, The Cuestonian aims to collect data that may offer an answer to the question of how Cuesta students feel about AI and why. Answers will be kept anonymous. However, students have the option to provide their name and contact information if they wish to speak to The Cuestonian about their opinion of AI.
