The Cuesta College women’s softball team is looking for determined and experienced players for the upcoming season.
Jenel Guadagno, the coach of the Women’s softball team, said she is excited for the new season and has all positions open for prospective players.
The team is especially looking for a pitcher for this season.
Guadagno said she is looking forward to meeting “Girls who are going to come out and work hard.â€
The softball season starts in January, and the team is currently participating in fall workouts that take place from August to Thanksgiving.
The team practices from 2 to 4 p.m. daily and are in the weight room twice a week. The team will practice on the softball fields by the track.
Sophomores on the team will help new players because Guadagno wants to make all new players feel welcomed. The girls will be participating in scrimmages to help prepare them for the season.
The last season, Guadagno said the team just fell short of the championship. She and the returning players want to work hard this season because the softball team is, “set on getting that championship.â€
