If you’re looking to paddle out into the ocean, one of the major decisions you’ll need to make is the board you’ll be taking out, or if you only have one board then I guess you don’t have a choice.
The easiest and the type of board that most people get before conquering the big waves is a longboard. The length of the board provides more stability which is great for someone trying to learn the ropes of surfing.
Longboards are equally as popular as shortboards in the surfing community, but shorter boards are used mainly by professionals because the aerodynamic shape and design of the shortboard allows for better speed and maneuverability for tricks.
Whether you ride, short, long, goofy footed, or regular Surfing will always be unique and special to the individual. So get out in the ocean and Channel your inner surfer.
