A mountain lion was sighted on Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo campus on Wednesday evening, January 20.
The animal was spotted near the Shipping & Receiving Department, which is on the southeast end of campus, near Chorro Valley and Hollister roads. Â
During the Fall 2015 semester, the Cuestonian created a video informing students on what to do if they encounter a mountain lion. The video was featured on KSBY as well as KPCC, one of the largest NPR affiliates in the state.
Police officials are urging students to park in designated parking areas. Avoid parking on dirt roads and on the campus perimeter.
